Ali grew up in a large family in Setauket, New York and always knew she wanted to be an educator. Shortly after working for the NYCDOE, Ali decided to move to NYC where she could live in a more diverse and multicultural society.
Ali has always had a lively, inquiring mind. Living in New York City has inspired her to learn about unique cultures and people. She is intrigued by human behaviors, including subway etiquette, random acts of kindness and appreciation of small gestures. Ali has encountered people all over the world who are good natured.
As a technology teacher, Ali believes strongly in helping her students be responsible digital citizens. All students need digital citizenship skills to participate fully in their communities and make smart choices online and in life. Her goal is to empower students to think critically, behave safely, and participate responsibly in our digital world.
