Anna Milonakis, Assistant Principal

Anna was born and raised in Queens, New York. As a Queens native she attended public school all throughout her primary and secondary school age years. Growing up in a large household, Anna remembers playing teacher with her younger sister and cousins where she would read poems by her favorite poet, Shel Silverstein. After graduating High School, she attended Queens College where she majored in Psychology. Upon graduating, she returned to speak with one of her beloved professors who probed and evaluated her personal values. It was during her time studying for her Master’s that Anna sparked a love for working with and teaching children.

Anna pursued a degree in administration through LEAP, The Office of School Leadership. Her time as a teacher at PS 234Q has contributed immeasurably to both her personal and professional growth. She hopes to aspire others to follow their dreams and knows that everyone encompasses leadership qualities. Anna believes in and abides by the credo that it is the duty of every teacher to find a way to reach each child and instill a love of learning.

Anna is a blessed mother of 3 and loves to spend time getting together with family and friends. Anna also enjoys traveling to different places and attributes that to her father. When she was a little girl he would tell her stories of his own travels while working on cruise ships and those beautiful images have stayed with her. Anna likes to cook and try different foods. One of her favorite dishes is “koupes” which her grandmother used to make for her. Her husband and her have a bucket list of countries they want to visit and foods they are eager to try.
