Phil Chu

Phil earned his Bachelor’s degree from Baruch College. From there, he spent over ten years in the private sector working as an analyst, and later made his way into talent acquisition, specializing in the technology sector. Wanting to serve the public instead, Phil pursued a Master’s degree in general and special education, with the goal of entering the public school system. Having gone through the New York City public school system himself, Phil understands how impactful and crucial it is to provide high quality education in an equitable way.

Phil has been a technology enthusiast from a young age, and built his first desktop computer when he was in the 5th grade. He is currently a candidate in Hunter College’s Computer Science Education program, and is set to graduate in the Spring of 2025.
