Amanda was born and raised in the heart of Astoria, Queens. She is a passionate teacher committed to learning alongside her students. Her journey into teaching has been shaped by a blend of personal experiences, leading to her current role at Q300.
Amanda earned her Master of Arts in Psychology from Queens College. This academic foundation has been instrumental in her teaching approach, allowing her to create a classroom atmosphere that supports diverse learners. Amanda holds New York State certification in Early Childhood Education.
Before her teaching career, Amanda gained experience working one-on-one with children in behavioral therapy. She had a dedication to help children thrive, which led her to seek a broader environment. Transitioning to a classroom setting has allowed Amanda to reach a wider range of individuals - further fueling her passion for education. Growing up, Amanda played an active role in raising her niece and nephew, and their journey toward becoming gifted and talented individuals has continually inspired her.
Outside the classroom, Amanda is an avid traveler - seeking to explore new cultures and perspectives around the world. She cherishes time spent with family and friends and enjoys reading and engaging in fun activities!
